Montgomery Elementary School’s Updated Emergency Protocols
If you’re a parent of an MES Mustang like many of The Suits Team members, then you need to read this! To keep informed should an emergency occur at or around our school make sure to complete all the necessary steps highlighted in the latest Mustang Bulletin.
Montgomery is improving the communication channel to provide timely updates to parents. As a MES Parent, you will need to join REMIND 101. REMIND 101 will be the primary outlet used to relay emergency information to parents. There are 2 easy ways to join:
- Text @89g3 to 81010
- Email [email protected] (the subject line can be blank)
I personally utilized the TEXT Option which was extremely efficient and user friendly.
Text 81010 with the @89g3 code and you’ll immediately receive a request for your First & Last Name. Once you reply, a text will come from a (754) phone number with the following messages:
“Remind Updates: This is a thread for Remind messages from Ms. Bolds. You can save this number to your contacts.”
“You’ve joined Montgomery Parents! Reply to send a message to Ms. Bolds.” And there’s a link to download the REMIND 101 app.
I clicked on the link & downloaded the app to my iPhone with no problem. The app is called “Remind: Fast, Efficient School Messaging”. Once downloaded just follow the easy steps to link in.
